Instructor Spotlight: Pete Petitti

Pete Petitti specializes in strength and agility training. The Houston born and bred Petitti teaches P90X and Insanity at the Bay Club. Petitti immerses himself in the fitness world: When he’s not creating personalized class experiences that push clients to their physical limits, he’s developing and producing fitness videos for Beachboy Live’s group-X brands. He enjoys group fitness because “everybody is in there for one reason: To leave feeling more empowered and healthier than when they walked in.” Petitti gives a personal training approach to group fitness “paying special attention to individuals form and technique so they feel more confident working out outside of my class in addition to while they’re in class.” Confident and fun, Petitti sets a personal intention for each class he teaches.

Music that gets him moving: “I’m a sucker for a good remix, especially if it’s an older song remixed to have an electronic twist!”

How he starts his day: “I immediately drink 20 ounces of water.  After I shower while listening to a positive playlist—recently salsa music since I’m taking salsa lessons. Most importantly I set my intention for what my priorities are for the day and cook a massive breakfast, so I don’t lose these gains!”

Biggest indulgence: “French fries. With Ranch. Can’t have one without the other. Also sour gummy worms. Please stop making me think about these. . .”

Favorite quote: “I could list a hundred of great quotes but the one that I use most often to remind myself to get out of my comfort zone is ‘If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you always got.’”
