Episode 2: Supporting the Needs of Our Community

Episode 2: Supporting the Needs of Our Community

We invite you to join the second installment of our Discussion Series, What Lies Ahead, continuing the thoughtful discussion about what the future of the Bay Club will hold.

In this episode, we discuss how we’re adapting our operations to the needs of our community and offering support in different ways. Even though club services are suspended, we are working harder than ever to ensure that we’re communicating regularly, engaging with our members and associates through programming, and working with our local governments on solutions for our communities, all while we plan for the successful—and hopefully not-too-distant—reopening of our clubs up and down the West Coast.

I have been a member for about 12 years and obviously I am happy with the club. I am missing my yoga classes in the studio and have to get myself motivated to do them online. Bay Club has really stepped up to the plate by having all these classes available. It’s up to me to take advantage of them. Good Luck to all.

I have been mostly ‘social distancing’ for more than 40 years. Gyms are the primary human interaction I have outside of the handful of people I work with. I really miss seeing the other members and staff. I’m concerned if they are all ok too.

It’s scary to think what the fallout will be for thousands of businesses that have had no income for a month or more and still have overhead to cover. Hopefully the majority if not all members and club staff will still have jobs when this is over, and that day comes soon.
