We love spreading holiday cheer here at the Bay Club. We know that holidays are not always merry and bright for those in need or those who are sick, and we take this time of year as an opportunity to give back to others—and hopefully share the holiday spirit with them. If you’re looking for a way to give back this festive season, please join us for your club’s selected charity. Below you’ll find all the details on the different philanthropies we’re supporting, and how you can get involved.
Portland
Bay Club Portland: OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital
How to Help: Order your heartfelt gift through Amazon Wish List, then join us in sorting the presents
Dates to Participate: December 2 – December 18.

From the hospital’s guest house, to out-patients, to stay patients, we’re helping one and all at OHSU. We’re donating toy supplies, holiday décor, activity kits, and kids’ creativity items. You can order your gift through Amazon to be sent to Bay Club Portland (make sure you select Bay Club Portland as the address!). Then for some off-screen, hands-on volunteering, join us on December 18 to sort, organize, and fill gift boxes to be delivered to the hospital. We’ll take over the Bay Club Portland basketball court with good cheer and package up the presents. Stay tuned for more details.

Calling all Bay Area elves! We’ve created an Amazon Wish List, including holiday décor and gear for kid-friendly stackable boxes, for kids and their families to receive a little joy this holiday season. Purchase your items from our Wish list by December 16 (and make sure you select Bay Club San Francisco or Bay Club Walnut Creek as the shipping address!). If you want some hands-on action, we’re looking for all the help we can get on December 19 to assemble our holiday packages at Bay Club San Francisco and Bay Club Walnut Creek’s basketball courts.

Los Angeles
All Los Angeles Bay Clubs: Miracle on 1st Street
How to Help: Pick up a gift tag in club, purchase the items on their wish list, and give away gifts to little ones
Dates to Participate: December 2 – December 14 (with a second toy pick up on December 18!)

We’ve partnered with Miracle on 1st Street, which serves less fortunate kids over the holidays, to help check off a few items on their wish lists. Help us give a child a gift they’re really wishing for this year by picking up a personalized tag from the Bay Club. The tag will include the child’s name and what they’re hoping for this holiday. You can bring your item(s) back to the Club by December 12. Need more time to make your donation? We’ll be accepting gift donations until December 18. We’ll be delivering our bounty on December 14 with a grand toy giveaway, so join us for a day of giving instead of receiving—that’s what the season is all about!
San Diego
All San Diego Bay Clubs: Rady Children’s Hospital
How to Help: Donate here, then join us for a festive tree lighting ceremony
Dates to Participate: December 2 – December 11
Join us in giving back to those who are spending this holiday season in the hospital instead of at home. We’re donating $10,000 to Rady Children’s Hospital this season, and you can donate to our cause through the personalized link—and help us reach our $15,000 goal. All of our members who donate get invited to the annual Light the Way ceremony for children at Rady Children’s Hospital on December 11.
