While the new school year may seem far away on the calendar, we’re already stocking up on school supplies. And that’s because this summer, Bay Club Cares has partnered up with three foundations, Family Giving Tree, Miracle on 1st Street, and Boys and Girls Club to hold a Back-to-School Drive donating supply-filled backpacks for students in need in grades K-12. The filled backpacks will be distributed to students through our partnership to schools in the greater Bay Area, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Portland.
How does it work? All you have to do is stop by your club’s Hospitality Desk to purchase a backpack filled with school supplies and $25 will be charged to your Member Account, or purchase one online, here. It’s that simple! And Bay Club will be matching the first 500 backpacks purchased.
Join us August 14 in either the Bay Area and Los Angeles to help us sort backpacks. Click here to register for Bay Area and Los Angeles.
At the Bay Club, we’re passionate about giving back to the local communities that surround us, and through Bay Club Cares, we have a proud history of partnering with both local and national nonprofits to help those in need. In 2018, we partnered with Family Giving Tree to donate gifts to the families affected by the devastating California fires. We are proud to work with them once again plus other incredible organizations to make every child feel like a valuable and empowered part of their community.
Giving back and helping others is in season all year long. Thank you for helping us help others. We are so proud of the generosity from our community.

Great Cause! ow much % of the donation goes towards administrative costs?
Thanks for your question. 100% of donations go towards backpacks and supplies.
Thank you Bay Club for giving back to the community.
I’m in for 4 back packs!
You’re awesome! We’re lucky to have such a great member like you—thank you for making a difference!
How much money is Bay club donating?
Hi Mary! Thanks for your question. We’ll be matching the first 500 backpacks!
I’m in for 5 backpacks as well.
I’ll be at the gym to pick one up tomorrow – but a tip for the next one – if you can enable a quick and easy click-thru ecommerce purchase, you’ll probably 3x the donations by making it easy for member to commit now, at home, from the couch…
Thank you for your feedback, and generous donation, Mike! We’re going to do that and send it out in the next email—we love that idea.
