Cozy up this Fall with these 2 Drink Recipes

It’s finally feeling like fall and we’re soaking up all our seasonal favorites like cozy sweaters, football Sundays, and of course, warm drinks to sip on while it’s chilly outside. And if you’re in need of a refresh from the usual pumpkin spice latte or hot apple cider, we have the solution! This Beet and Ginger Latte and Tahini Hot Chocolate are two delicious options that will bring all-new flavors to your cup—and will make keeping warm a little more fun.

Beet and Ginger Latte
Serves 1

ingrediants for beets

Ingredients
3/4 tsp beet powder
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/8 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
1-2 tsp honey (to taste)
1/4 cup boiling water
3/4 cup steamed milk or milk alternative

Steps
Combine beet powder, ginger, and honey in a mug.

Add a splash of boiling water, and whisk together to create a paste. Add the remainder of the water, and continue whisking.

Prepare your steamed milk. If you don’t have a frother, warm milk is just as delicious.

Pour the steamed milk into the mug over the beet, ginger, and water mixture. Happy sipping!

Tahini Hot Chocolate
Serves 2

Ingredients
1/4 cup boiling water
2 cups milk or milk alternative
2 tbsp tahini
3 tbsp dark chocolate
1-2 tsp honey or maple syrup (to taste)
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
1 dollop of coconut whipped cream, recipe to follow

Steps
Combine tahini, honey, cinnamon, and dark chocolate in a small pot.

Add a splash of boiling water, and whisk together to create a paste. Add the remainder of the water, and continue whisking until the chocolate is melted and well combined.

Add milk to the mixture, and heat on the stove stirring occasionally until desired temperature is reached.

Pour the hot chocolate into two mugs and top with coconut whipped cream, and garnish with chocolate shavings, tahini drizzle, or cinnamon. Pairs perfect with a chunky sweater!

Coconut Whipped Cream
Makes approximately 3 cups

Ingredients
1 can of coconut cream
2 tbsp maple syrup
1/2 tbs vanilla extract
Pinch of salt

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Using a whisk (or hand mixer), whisk vigorously until the mixture becomes light and fluffy like whip cream!
